A single block of wood, blackened, its surface carved by hand into ridges that run like water. Set low on two short feet.

This functional sculpture is inspired by the logs that used to float down the rivers when moving timber. The black makes it graphic and turns the eye to the whole form, while the raw grain keeps the details of nature.
