A solid wood top, its edge left thick and showing the growth rings, under a skin of brushed stainless steel. The base is two slabs locked together by a single crossing block.
Inspired by the temple joinery and design of South Korea and Japan — timber shaped by hand, fitting so precisely it has stood for a thousand years. Steel is laid over wood for the juxtaposition: one masculine and one feminine.
